Čelnim ljudima donosi profit, a zajednici sigurne proizvode i zdravu okolinu.
Abstract (english) In this paper the influence of organizational culture on the perception of ethical business is investigated. Through theoretical findings and conducted research relationship between organizational culture and business ethics was shown, and that also showed how successful business is striving to be ethical. Challenges of today’s business world are getting bigger and society in which the organization works more demanding so organizations are asked to conduct the business responsibly. Business ethics or ethical business is a category which satisfied leaders of organizations, employees but also the wider community. It brings profit to leaders and safe products and healthy environment to the community. Because of its complexity, the research was carried out by applying mixed methodology in two phases. The first phase included qualitative research using in-depth interview with the leaders of organizations. This phase helped in gaining insight into the topic and information which were gathered in this phase helped in defining content for the questionnaire. The first phase was done along the lines of research which was conducted in 2009 by Ardichvili et al. Questionnaire was conducted in the second phase in quantitative part on 399 participants also based on earlier conducted research (Kaptein, 2008). It is proven that the elements of organizational culture are connected with the perception of ethical business (hypothesis 1). Besides, perception of honesty and justice (ethical leadership) has the strongest influence on the perception of ethnicity of overall business of the organization (hypothesis 2). The third hypothesis has been partially proven because it turned out that the level of education is not associated with the perception of ethics in one’s own organization and the higher position in the organizational hierarchy is positively associated with the perception of ethics of one’s own organization (hypothesis 3). Therefore, participants with higher level of education (university and higher) have the same view on ethics of their own organization as employees with lower level of education (high school or lower). Model of ethical organizational culture particular for organizations in the Republic of Croatia was made by statistical analysis of gathered answers.
